Senior Youth Worker

About the role

We’re looking for a JNC-qualified Senior Youth Worker to take a lead role in shaping inclusive youth work at Marlow Youth & Community Centre.

This is a hybrid and in-person post (8 hours per week) that blends hands-on youth work with operational leadership, supervision, and community partnership development. You’ll support sessional staff and volunteers, oversee delivery of our Thursday evening youth group and Saturday Space programme, and ensure our work continues to make a real difference for young people locally.

The role suits an experienced practitioner who thrives on combining delivery with strategic and reflective leadership. You’ll bring strong safeguarding knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for building connections that help young people feel seen, supported, and inspired.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a recognised JNC Professional Qualification (Level 6 preferred; Level 3 considered with substantial leadership experience).
  • Have proven experience providing operational leadership, supervision, and reflective practice in a youth or community setting.
  • Be confident in community networking and developing partnerships with schools, local organisations, and families.
  • Use data and feedback to drive improvement and demonstrate impact.
  • Bring a proactive, inclusive, and values-led approach that reflects BFT’s ethos of creativity, empowerment, and co-production.
